The City Council will be meeting August 19, 2025, 7 p.m. and will hear an educational presentation about the Specialized Building Code. We encourage Framingham residents to attend or tune into the meeting on Zoom; check the city's Public Meeting Calendar for the meeting agenda and Zoom link.

Energize Framingham is calling on City Council to pass the Specialized Code. For more information and to learn how you can encourage its passage, read our action. 

On June 23, 2025, the City Council’s Environment and Sustainability Subcommittee voted 3-0 to move a draft ordinance adopting the Specialized Building Code to the full City Council for consideration.
